Hello. My name is Tom Wilken. I’m a Pennsylvania workers’ compensation attorney with Calhoon and Kaminsky P.C. So, we’re here today to discuss the often-asked question, “how long will my case take?”

The easy answer to that is, “it depends.” The more specific answer is, if you haven’t heard within 21 days of your date of injury whether or not the insurance company is going to accept or deny your claim, you should probably contact an attorney. The petitions that you need to file either involve a prosecution of your case, which means you’re trying to get your benefits started up, or you’re defending in a case where your benefits have already been initiated, started, and recognized.

It’s very important at this point to contact an attorney before you get behind the eight ball with bills, and out-of-pocket expenses and a lack of a regular income. We can help you maneuver through the system so that we can make this as painless as possible. If you have any questions about this or any other workers’ compensation matter, please feel free to contact us.
