How to calculate Partial Disability Benefits owed for a Pennsylvania Work Injury:
Average Weekly Wage at time of injury (taken from Notice of Compensation Payable) or Judge’s award) minus gross pay for week in question equals earning loss.
Then, multiply earning loss by 2 and then divide by 3 to get partial disability compensation owed.
Example: $550.00 (A.W.W.) – $300.00 (Gross pay for week) = $250.00 (earning loss)
Then, $250.00 x 2 = $500.00
Then, $500.00 /¸ 3 = $166.66 (partial workers compensation owed for week)
