Raised in a union household lead by a father that served as President of a National Labor union for decades, there is little reason to understand why I have devoted my professional life to serving and helping one of the most abused among us: those who have suffered a work injury making profits for someone else. That is why I practice almost exclusively in representing employees in workers’ compensation proceedings with passion for protecting the rights of employees. Immediately after graduating from law school, as an attorney/advisor for the United States Department of Labor, i wrote decisions on litigated workers’ compensation cases for an Administrative Law Judge. For the last twenty-two years, I have successfully represented thousands of individuals seeking benefits under the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act.

After graduating Vanderbilt University in 1985, I earned my law degree in 1988 from Boston University School of Law. I am a member of the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations and Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group, a national organization of lawyers representing injured workers.

I have served as the Chairman of the Dauphin County Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation. I lecture frequently on employee rights on behalf of employee organizations and various legal organizations and have aggressively and successfully litigated hundreds of cases on behalf of his clients throughout all levels of the workers’ compensation system, establishing precedent in the Pennsylvania Appellate Courts, including cases of first impression before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

As an advocate of employee rights, I was active in the formation of the Pennsylvania Federation of Injured Workers, and served on their Board of Directors for two years. As recently as 2012, and for five years, I was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Considered among the best lawyers in their profession, Super Lawyers represent the top five percent (5%) of the practicing attorneys in Pennsylvania and are selected by their peers in an extensive nomination and polling (36,000 ballots) process conducted by Law and Politics. I was selected as a member of Continental Who’s Who and, in June 2010, was selected as a member of Biltmore Who’s Who. In May 2010, I was awarded superb status by my peers on AVVO. In May 2011, I was again elected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer inthe area of workers’ compensation. Our son, A.J., is a Sophomore in High School and our daughter, Jessica, is a Freshman at Washington & Jefferson College. My hobbies include archery big game hunting, fishing, hang gliding, reading historicail biographies, community building and helping charities.
