Hello, my name is Tom Wilken, and I’m a Pennsylvanian workers’ compensation attorney with Calhoon and Kaminsky P.C.

The issue we’re here to deal with today is whether or not you can choose your own doctor after a period of 90 days. The answer to that is yes, yes, and yes.

You are the boss of your own case, and if you choose to get another doctor, you’re allowed to have that billed through workers’ compensation. And workers’ compensation must pay that bill, assuming it’s properly billed and the treatment is reasonable, necessary and related to your work injury. If you have questions on this or any other workers’ compensation matter, please feel free to contact us.
