Hi, my name is Tom Wilken. I’m a workers’ compensation attorney with Calhoon and Kaminsky P.C. Today, I’m here to talk a little bit about what to do if you have an ACL tear, or an MCL tear. But what those are acronyms for is interior cruciate ligament or medial collateral ligament. Obviously, those involve your knee. If you’ve had these types of injuries to your knee, you are entitled to under worker’s compensation, physical therapy, injections and surgery. If you would have additional problems, and subject to whether or not you have a medical opinion, you may be entitled to a knee replacement. You should know that workers’ compensation requires any accepted injury to be paid for if the treatment request is reasonable, necessary, or related to your work injury. In this case, if you have an ACL tear, or an MCL tear, that would include additional treatments, physical therapy, office visits, medication or possibly a knee replacement.

Should you have any questions on this or any other workers’ compensation question, please feel free to contact us.
