Every employee who receives wage-loss benefits in Pennsylvania is entitled to receive their payments on time. The law requires insurers to pay employees within a specific time-frame. Employees are entitled to payment according to the same weekly of bi weekly pay schedule used by their employer. Nevertheless, insurance companies often pay employees late. This, of course, affects your ability to pay your bills and purchase necessities.

An injured employee is entitled to wage-loss payments when that employee misses at least seven days of work because of a workplace injury or illness. The employee will receive their first wage-loss payment within twenty-one days from the first day of their absence from work. There is no limit on how long an employee may continue to receive wage-loss compensation for a total disability, but when the employee has a partial disability, payments are limited to 500 weeks.
